Christmas 2006

Well I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. As for the Jebbers of Cuyahoga Falls, it couldn't have been any better. On Christmas Eve we went to my Dad's house for a huge spaghetti dinner. After that we went to church for the 4:30 service.

It was nice, but Connor was so worn out by the end of mass that Patrick had to take him to the car. We then headed out to Denny and Janet's for Santa's arrival.

We spend every Christmas Eve with Patrick's Dad and Janet, it is our tradition. Janet always has a huge spread of food out and we munch all night long and open gifts. It is so nice. In their neighborhood the Kiwanis Club has a Santa delivery which has Santa in a police escorted sleigh who brings your first gift of the night and the kids get to thank Santa personally. It truly is the neatest thing I have ever seen. Connor was thrilled!

The night ended with thoughts of sugar plums for Connor, and Mommy and Daddy wrapping gifts and watching Christmas movies by the tree. Christmas morning was fun, fun fun. Connor was not all that interested in opening gifts, but wow baby does he love bows. It was all we could do to keep him out of his new wagon that his Grandma bought him, and he loved playing with his new Spider Man doll as well. This kid is a riot.

We had such a relaxing Christmas day, I hope they are all just like it. My Dad and brother came over for breakfast and to open gifts, then Again they came over along with Mike and Jen (Jebber) for a family dinner. I just love our family.
It was such a wonderful Christmas. We have so much to be thankful for. And next year will be even more eventful.

Thank God it is FRIDAY. I really mean that too. It is so nice to have Patrick home early to help me with our little bundle of endless energy. Tonight is pizza and movie night so Connor is napping it up getting ready for Friday fun.
Have a great weekend.

To Pee Or Not To Pee...

So, what's new in the Connor realm? Recently he had a horrible diaper rash that just wouldn't go away. As a matter of fact, his toosh was so red that it made both Cassie and I cringe at the very site of it.

We took him to the doctor (which I knew would be a mistake) and the doctor recommended putting some cream on it (pinksav for all those parents out there). Wow! Big surprise. Good thing we're paying those doctor guys the big bucks. Needless to say, we were disappointed that they couldn't do more to keep our little guy from the pain he was experiencing.

To help rectify the situation, we decided to keep him out of his diaper as long as possible throughout the day...easy for me...harder for Cassie. You know what happens when you let a baby loose with nothing covering his dooley? Uh Oh...yep it's the human sprinkler.

I can't tell you how many times I was talking to Cassie over the phone where she'd scream in terror while he peed all over her and the house. It was pretty funny looking back. I'm sure Cassie would disagree.

He's doing better now and his toosh is getting back to normal. Now he just needs to get through the pain of six new teeth breaking through... OUCH!!

Merriest Christmas

Hello again everyone,
I hope you all are having a wonderful Holiday season. As for me and the family I cannot tell you how quickly it has come and almost gone. We are so excited to see Connor's little face this year on Christmas morning. So far we haven't been able to put any presents under the tree, because he likes to push them over to other parts of the house and use them as stepping stools and trampolines. Gosh I love this kid! It is amazing how much he has grown up just since his birthday. He is trying so hard to talk it is so funny. He says "Peeze", A LOT. He says it when he wants something and doesn't know the name. He will just point and say "Peeze". Melts me! He has started saying thank you in a completely inaudible language, but it is thank you and he even uses the tone that I use when I say it to him. He woofs at the dogs which I think is hilarious. Do they know what he's saying??

He laughs all the time which is just the most wonderful sound in the world to his Daddy and I. He has decided that he is in love with his Grandpa. Even Patrick and I can't pull him off of him. I know my Dad just eats it up and savors every minute of it. He loves to sing oh so very loud and he dances even at car commercials. His huge personality is amazing. I love watching him problem solve and try to get himself in and out of mischief. He is such a boy. I have to say I thank God for giving me Max though, because I think he truly prepared me for motherhood.

We are spending Christmas with family this year, I will write more after the fact, but we are especially looking forward to Christmas Eve when Connor gets a gift delivered to him at his Jiddo and Sitto's house directly from Santa himself. Now, this could be an issue, because Connor has not yet made up his mind if he is all that thrilled about the big hairy guy yet. We tried to get his picture taken with him and we ended up in the picture. I'll post it along with a few others.

Everything is going well. So far I am not yet through with being sick, but I know it will be any day now. You would think my body would be used to this by now. Patrick and I have been lying in bed at night for what seems like hours trying to time the baby's kicks so Daddy can feel them and then tell the baby how much he loves each of those little thuds.

Connor is getting 6 or more teeth at one time which has been sooooooo hard on Patrick and I. Sleep...What? What is this sleep you speak of??? It's ok, Connor makes up for it when he smiles.

2006 has been such a wonderful year and I know that 2007 will be that much more incredible. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined such happiness. Not to be sappy, but God has truly blessed me with the most wonderful husband on the planet, the most amazing little man, One beautiful little one on the way, two great dogs (who could stand to bark a bit less) and a wonderful place to live. Truly blessed.

Merry Christmas!
Love, the Jebbers

The Jebber Family Blog: A New Place to Visit

It's come to my attention that everyone comes to thejebbers.com for updates on our most beloved family and what's happening with "Little C" or as most of you know him - "The Destroyer"...I mean... Connor.

Well, I've gone and done it. I've created this blog section on thejebbers.com for everyone to come and see what the news is...was...and shall be. As you all know, Cassie tends to send off updates of Connor and the family more frequently than I can post new photos on the main site. So this blog will allow her to move into the internet realm...where you all can enjoy the Connor updates and all the other family 411.

Don't look so somber...I'll be posting photos and what not as I find some spare time. I'm the "Big Daddy" of the Jebbers of Cuyahoga Falls and I still get the last word online.
