Go Fish

Connor's daddy took him fishing for the first time this weekend, and it was more than adorable for me to sit and watch. Connor took to it so well, and was thrilled to even help Daddy put the worm on the hook although Mommy begged them to just use a fry.  He can cast it out so darn far and reel it in so beautifully.  He's a natural.  His Daddy was very proud!

Week in Review

What a great week we had.  Grandma Kathie was in town from Florida, and we had so much fun playing and loving and laughing the whole time. It really isn't enough to say that these kids are completely in love with Grandma.  The only problem we had was that our time with her just wasn't long enough.  We all usually go through a little depression when she leaves.  Grandma, if you're reading this, We miss you...Come BACK!

I'll Be

Patrick and I spent Thursday evening at the Cleveland HOB to see the Edwin McCain concert.  For those of you do not know, he sang our wedding song, I'll Be.  It was such a wonderful, magical evening and yet again made me realize how very lucky I am to be married to such a great man.  Thank you honey!

I feel there is no need to elaborate.
I am so proud of my little man.  He went right out with his Daddy to get his Spider Man fishing pole!

SLEPT LIKE A LOG

This morning Jordyn  came into bed with us at around 6 am and fell back to sleep...Draped over me! She really is completely asleep here~ I called to Patrick so he could see it and he grabbed his phone to capture this adorable scene.  Man, I love her.

Nothing to Fear

Well, my fearless daughter has finally disclosed her one fear. It's the...Vacuum. What? How is it that she is not afraid of high drops. Oh no there isn't a bike or scooter or trike that she wouldn't climb right on and try to ride. The slide, she has stopped trying to go down it, and has begun to master climbing UP the slide. How is it that she is afraid of the vacuum? Water...Hahaha...she laughs in the face of the scary water. Nope, it's the vacuum. Oh well, we all have our issues. I'm afraid of monsters that try to chase me up the stairs when all the lights are out at night. :)

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day DADS
What a fantastic weekend.  We started our weekend off on Friday night with a fun birthday party for Reese.  It was at Sluggers and Putters in Canton.  Our time was cut short because the storm of the century blew in but it was actually so much fun to just sit there and watch the storm roll in while we took cover under the pavilion.  It was my first real summer storm of 2008 and I loved it!  After we got home, Patrick went out with the guys and didn't get home until...You know honey, I don't even know when you came in?????
Saturday was so much fun.  We celebrated Father's day with our dad's and had a great dinner on the patio, then we lit a fire and hung out with our Dad's and some friends until the weeeeee hours!
Sunday was just magical.  We took the kids to Kendall Park to fly the kite, then we went on a hike together.  We walked through the woods, while Jordyn sat on her Daddy's shoulders.  It was such a blast.  We sat on the blanket and snacked while enjoying being outside together.
After the park, we took the kids to the Irish festival, and we listened to the Irish music while Connor and Jordyn played in the fountain.  Just more fun for Patrick and I than anything.  The kids had such a blast. Then to top it all off, when we got home Patrick got to take a short nap on the rocking chair.
We are so in love with our family, and we are so blessed to be able to have this life.  It was a great weekend, and I do believe Patrick had the best Father's Day ever.  I love you my honey, and I hope you know how much I love you and how much your babies adore you.  You are our hero!

The grand scheme

Have you ever felt this tiny?  Have you ever been engulfed in something so massive, so huge that you felt insignificant?  I try to put myself in his place at this exact moment in time.  Looking out into this ocean...This enormous and powerful ocean for the first time.  Was he feeling Frightened? Empowered?  I pray every day that I am able to raise both of my babies to never feel insignificant and always feel empowered by the beauty they are surrounded by.

Going Buggy

She eats bug heads! No, really. She does! Yesterday I thought she had a stick in her hand, but she was actually eating a long bugs head. EWWWWWWW! I'm telling you right now. I about lost it! Then later in the day once Patrick got home she had a huge ant in her hand getting ready to take it's head off. She gets into so much more than Connor ever did. Maybe it is because I didn't give Connor the option, I really don't get it. Everyone told me that girl's are different. They aren't as crazy as boys, but JJ gets into EVERYTHING!

STOP! Hammer Time

Potty training is going well.
 I am tired!
He loves his big boy undies!
Did I mention I am tired?
No one ever explained how tiring potty training was.
Thank God he is doing so well.

Concert in The Park

This evening we took the kids out to Munroe Falls Lake for a concert.  It was so much fun.  They had such a blast dancing and listening to the music and playing with their friends Alex and Sebastian.  I love being able to expose them to such fun things as kids.  I can't wait for the next one!
