Happy Halloween

Luck isn't the word for it

I am so in love.  In love with a great man.  A man who devotes himself to me and our life.  The life we have been building for 11 years.  Devotes himself whole heartedly to our family and making sure that neither of his children ever feels like they don't matter.  I am so fortunate that he loves me enough to listen to me whine and allows it to be "all about me" when I feel the need to make it that way, (even when it has nothing to do with me). I feel a rush of happiness swell up inside of me every time I think about his love and the man that he is.  I am so proud of him and all that he does each day for our family.  Thank you honey for loving me and letting me be a snot when you are so stressed out, and continuing to love me through it all.  I love you!  Happy 11 years!

Love-itty Love

Have I mentioned how much I love-itty love her?  (Conversations with Jordyn.)

Last night I was out for a bit.  Connor informed me that Jordyn fell down the steps while I was gone.  Jordyn fell asleep in my arms so I took her to bed.  Upon lying her down she looks up at me.
Jordyn: Mommy steps ( in a very asleepy, raspy voice)
Mommy: Did you fall down the steps?
Jordyn: Yup
Mommy: Did you get hurt?
Jordyn: Yup
Mommy: Why did you fall down the steps?
Jordyn: Daddy
Mommy:  Good job Daddy  :)

This morning
Watching the Today show, looking at an electric car
Mommy: Wow Jordyn do you see that?
Jordyn: Dat's Amazing
Mommy: Ugh.  You're growing up too fast.  :)

3

My little man you are three today. I cannot believe that three years ago today you and your Daddy and I were being introduced for the first time. That was the best day of my life. You have made our family so very happy. Happier than I ever imagined being. I want to thank you for everything that you have taught me in the three years you have been my little love. You have taught me to be patient, fun and much more care free than I have ever been. You have allowed me to see the world anew and it is such a beautiful thing. The term "stop to smell the roses" means so much more with you in the world.
You are Amazing-Mazing! At three you have to be one of the funniest human beings I have ever met. You say the most incredible things each and every day. You have the most awesome sense of style. I love that you wear your backpack and sunglasses everywhere you go. Your fondness for tools and fixing things is so great. If only you could snake our pipes. You have a favorite song right now that you sing and hummmm all day long, (Jason Mraz, I'm Yours). It is wonderful. I love that you love to dance and sing with your sister. Your sister, wow, where do I begin. You love her so much and I love to watch the two of you play and grow together every day. You are such a great friend. You love your friends so much and want to always know what they are doing. You are such a big helper. You are so good at cleaning up your toys when we ask and helping bring in the trash with your Daddy. You love to help Mommy bake yummy foods as long as you get to lick the spoon and get the first bite. (You're no dummy)
You love to watch movies over and over and over and over again and I know that one day I will miss it, so it is yet another thing I love so much about you. You are a snuggler and I thank God each and every night for that. You love to snuggle under the covers in Mommy and Daddy's bed, and you love for me to rock with you and sing to you. Please Connor, always love that! I truly believe that fairy tales do come true. Look at my life, I have you. Happy third birthday my beautiful little boy. I love you!
Now, for this three year old's birthday party, we had a Harvest Festival today. The kids played bean bag toss, they bobbed for apples, pinned the nose on a pumpkin, had their faces painted and painted their own pumpkins. They ate CANDY, lots of CANDY, all while being dressed up in their costmes. They looked fantastic! Connor was touch and go for a bit due to lack of napping, but he came through very nicely. He was so gracious while opening his gifts, he acted like each one was a case with a million dollars. I really believe he feels that way too. After his party we did his baloon launch and it was so great. He sent his three baloons up into the air and we cheered him on as he became one year older. It was such a wonderful day. It really couldn't have been better. Thank you to everyone who was there with us. We love you all!

So Happy Together

Connor: "Mommy, I wuv Sophia so much."
Mommy: You do?
Connor: Yes, I don't want her to get on the bus.
Mommy: (thinking) ummm. He can't love anyone else but me right now.  Right?!

Zzzzzzzz

My blog may be taking a bit of a snooze this week.  Patrick has to borrow my computer while his is being worked on.  Who knew I'd feel this lost without my little black Mac.

Happy Birhday Jew-E

Is it possible to be in love with a night? If it is, then I was. Last night was so beautiful, so perfect. Patrick, Julie, Andy and I celebrated Julie's birthday at Sarah's Vineyard. We sat outside on the deck in front of the fire pit wrapped in blankets sipping on our wine. It was so cozy and it was great to laugh. We had a ton of fun. Thanks for having your birthday on a great night Julie!

Conversation with an Angel

Over the past couple of days I have been having mini conversations with my 1 year old BABY! This first one is based around a Halloween book that sparkles and shimmers and the kids both love it.

Mommy: Do you want your sock?

Jordyn: Away!

Apple (Pie) of my eye

Mamma's very first apple pie! Well, Connor helped. Today while Jordyn was napping Connor and I put together this DELICIOUS apple pie. We decided to forgo the nap today because the anticipation of it coming out of the oven was too overwhelming. We also had to call Daddy and ask his permission to cut into it before he arrived home. It was to be a ceremonious cut, but really it smelled so darn good. I have to admit I was nervous. I have never baked an apple pie before, and it isn't the prettiest thing I have ever seen, but it does taste kind of yummy. Connor took a bite and said, "it is delicious. It is so amazing!" The amazing part was his doubt that Mamma could make a pie I am sure. What a fun gloomy day activity. Thanks my little man for all of your help. I love you!

Pumpkin Love

On Sunday we went with the Paratore's to the Red Wagon Farm for our Pumpkin Patch experience. What a great place! The kids played in a big bail of hay, a hay maze then we went on a hay ride through the spooky forest. Patrick didn't participate in the highly anticipated pumpkin lift this year because the pumpkins in that patch were just plain sad! It was such a beautiful day, not very fall like, but it was perfect. I look forward to next year. I think Julie and I decided on a new place that we will try. They have WINE! Happy pumpkin hunting everyone!

Apple Picking

The Jebbers went apple picking at our favorite orchard on Saturday and it was just lovely. The kids had so much fun picking and eating lots of different apples. It was such a beautiful day, and it makes me so happy to be doing such fun things with my most favorite people. This year Jordyn was able to participate in the picking and eating, and she was all over it. Connor loved being able to show her how to do it the right way. They are so funny! Of course we went home and drank a half gallon of cider and I made apple crisp. On my adjenda this week are two caramel apple pies and homemade apple sauce. YUMMY!
