On the 12th...ummm, 13th Day Before Christmas
Jordyn and I baked cookies together! Baking Christmas cookies is a huge tradition in our home, and we love doing it together. The kids love dumping the ingredients into Mommy's ginormous mixer and then watching it spin around. I think they equally love the part where they get to eat the cookie dough. And decorate! Last year Jordyn was too young to fully appreciate the cookie tradition. I had her there with me, but it wasn't as powerful as this year. She and Connor stand next to me on their chairs so excited for each ingriedient. As soon as Patrick pulled out the mixer Jordyn said "Mommy, get spoon." She needs to hold a spoon while I am cooking or baking in hopes that if I may faint she could swoop in and finish preparation! She has a Huge hero complex. This was not our first cookie baking experience of the year, but our 4th. It has been such a magical Christmas for us so far. While baking, the kids love singing Christmas carols and then watching the cookies come out of the oven. Watching Jordyn dumping in the flour and helping turn on the mixer just blows my mind. She is such a big girl. She is so amazing. She is so full of Christmas! Full of love, and so excited about all of our traditions.
Love the pictures-although I believe the 12 days before christmas doesn't actually start until tomorrow :P
