Our Christmas Adventure

Wow, I cannot believe it is over so soon. Christmas for us was not a day, but a month and a half long journey. We were able to keep up with some traditions we began years ago, and decided to make some new ones along the way. This blog is going to give a description of our Christmas journey.
We began our Christmas season with the ride on the Polar Express, What a fantastic memory. We drove around and looked at Christmas lights while Connor shouted, "wook Mom, booful". Yes, Connor Beautiful. He may never know just exactly how beautiful it really was.
We sat on Santa's lap and gave him some cookies. We made Christmas cookies (my Grandmother's recipe). Connor had a blast decorating.
We had a great time visiting with my family and introducing some of them to Jordyn for the first time. On Christmas eve, we attended Church, then went to Jiddo's house where Santa was there waiting to give Connor and Jordyn their first gift of the night. It truly is the most magical Christmas tradition. When Santa pulls onto the street they call out to you by name, "Connor and Jordyn Jebber, come out and get your present from Santa." Connor ran outside on a mission, and Santa handed him his gift. Connor held out his hand and stared at Santa for a second then turned around, ran up the driveway screaming ,"Thank you" Open, open, open." Jordyn smiled and looked oh so pretty.
Once we got home it was Daddy's turn to read the night before Christmas, and Connor just sat there so excited. That night, I wrapped the gifts while Patrick put all of the toys together. He declared earlier in the day that I was not allowed to bail and go to sleep sticking him with everything. He did such a great job putting all the toys together, and loading everything with batteries. I never bailed per say. I stayed downstairs with him all night (asleep). Thank you honey for allowing me to sleep.
Christmas morning was just magical. I have no other word for it. Connor was so gracious and excited for every single toy. He would say, "Wow" and "booful" for almost everything. I honestly cannot say he has a favorite, he has been giving each and every toy equal time.
My hubby did it again, and gave me the most unbelievable gift ever. He made me a book of our journey together as a family volume one. It was...perfect. I love you.
I only cried (happy tears) about a dozen time throughout our journey. I am just so in love with our family and all that God has blessed us with. Every minute was magical. And I look forward to next year and the year after that and the year after that and...
