Connordotes

Oh the laughter you hear in our home.
Connor: Daddy get milk please
Daddy: (picks up milk that he dropped in the car) Here you go kiddo.
Connor: Thanks Dad...Dad, I'm so proud of you.
Mom: AHHHHHHHHH!

This morning:
Connor: Mommy, Spiderman Spiderman!!!!!
Mom: (thinking he is wanting to brush his teeth with his new spiderman toothbrush) You want to go brush your teeth?
Connor: Come with me Mom, I'll show you. Wook! Spiderman!!!!!! (pointing to the ground) Mom, get him, get spiderman!
Mom: (as I see the totally frantic spider) Oh ok, I'll get him. (now I have to think does he really think it's spiderman? if I kill this thing in front of him will it scar him for life?) I picked it up, brought it into the bathroom and shut the door behind me so that he would not witness the brutality that was about to take place. As I step out of the bathroom:
Connor: Mom, throw spiderman in the trash?
Mom: Yes Connor he is gone
Connor: bugs bite me. GRRRRRRR!

At church the other day:
Connor: Aunt Keri. Jesus loves me.
Me: giggle

Calling all dog lovers. A plea for my broken heart

Hello again everyone,
It has been a little less than a year since my last Bailey email. He went to a new home last year when we realized that he wasn't all that fond of toddlers who jump on his back and pull his hair. He has loved his new home, but his new home hasn't loved him all that much. They gave it a try, but realized the cats don't like being dog owners. Nothing happened at the home, but one of her cats developed a stomach condition and she thinks that it is because the cat doesn't like dogs. My poor Bailey! Bailey is looking for a home without babies. The home can have kids 5 or older. Bailey loves children as long as they don't jump on his back and try to ride him. He also loves cats and other animals. His main goal in life is to snuggle. Snuggle anywhere and everywhere, and with the occasional walk around the block and bone bone he is the happiest dog in the world. He is completely trained, and easy to get along with. He loves attention, and blankets over his head while he sleeps 19 hours a day. He will be 9 on May 14, but he sure doesn't act it. He has the spirit of a kid and a heart of gold. He is my little man, and I want him to finally find a home that will keep him. I hate that he has had to be moved around like he has. Great dogs should never have to go through this. I would really love for him to go to a home of someone that I know so that I can see him any time. I will continue to cover his vet bills to make it easier on everyone. If any of you are looking for a great dog to come into your life look no further. If you know of anyone who is looking for a great companion please send them this email. Please let me know as soon as possible, because I plan on moving Bailey back in with us until we can find him someone to love!
Thank you,
Love Cassie Patrick Connor amd Jordyn

A Last

Today was the last day I will ever have baby things in my home. We got rid of all of our baby items this afternoon. No more bassinet, no more swing, no more bouncer. No more baby. WAHHHHHHHHHHH!
Holy cow am I am emotional wreck. Who knew it was going to be this hard to say goodbye to things. It really has nothing to do with the things, but the memory of my little babies.
Those sleepless nights dragging that huge swing up the stairs into our bedroom with the hope that our little boy would sleep for just 20 minutes rocking back and forth, or watching them breathe for hours next to me as they sleep in the bassinet.
Those are memories I will always hold so close, and I guess having these "things" still present in my home helped me hold onto the notion that my little ones were still babies. They aren't.
I am happy to know that all of our baby things went to a good home! Leia and Marie, thank you for giving them a good home, and allowing me to come visit whenever I want!
I know how much we have to look forward to in watching our babies grow up. There are still so many firsts we will have, it's just these lasts that remind me that I have to always make sure to never forget any of those firsts.

FEELING BETTER

So, I am convinced it was the flu.  It was awful whatever it was, and I am just glad I am feeling half way normal again.  Thank you honey for taking such good care of me while I was near death.  I promise to return the favor if you get whatever it is that I had. Unless of course there is a huge shoe sale somewhere!  :)
UPDATE
*To anyone who found offense to my last comment(IE: my hubby) I was ONLY KIDDING!*

She Did It

My baby girl slept through the night last night. She fell asleep in my arms at 7:30, I woke her and put her in her own bed, she screamed, I soothed. I went in three times to soothe, and we didn't hear a peep from her until 7:30 this morning when she stood up and giggled in her crib. WOO HOO! Now on to tonight!

31

So it's official, I am no longer 30. I am now a thirty something. It's a bit hard to say still, but man after the wonderful weekend that I had, I have to say that 31 is wonderful. I had such a great birthday weekend, I was sad to see it go. I began my birthday on Friday with a great night out with my hubby. Saturday began with a massage and pedicure with Keri. It was magnificent. The day only got better. The kids were on their best behavior all day, and I just couldn't have asked for a better birthday. I think 31 is going to be great!
