ZooTastic

The "Fam" at the zoo
The camels. We love them
Connor and Daddy riding Parker the camel. Best Day Ever!
The Polar Bears were unreal. This one was yawing. He also got on a rock and danced for us
A Sting Ray
My fearless daughter touching the sting rays
Connor riding a froggy
I love taking the kids to the zoo. As they are getting older, they are able to associate the animals in their books with the ones they are seeing in person. I especially love when Jordyn sees baboons and says, " Hi Daddy" or when she moos at the camels. It's so fun to watch them soak it all in for the first time (again).

Just Beachy

Ryen bouncing here and there like Tigger
Connor doing the sandy boogie
Kortnie and I
Jordyn doing her best Captain Morgan impression
Oh what a fun filled weekend we had. Our friends from Baltimore came in and we packed 5 days of fun into 2. It was filled. Saturday we went up to the beach again, and just had so much fun. The kids played hard and I sat in a chair on the sand and relaxed hard. I love the beach.

1st Bus Ride

Have I mentioned how much I love my neighborhood.  Oh yes, and how much I love these kids! Sophia's very first bus ride to kindergarden was more exciting for all of us than it was for her I think.

Conversation with Connor

Connor eating a popsicle:
C: Mom, this is delightful
M: You think so.  I'm glad you like it
C: But there is something missing
M: There is?  What is missing?
C: My Daddy.  He's missing from my eyes.  I need him for his energies.
M: You do.  Well, then I'll go get him. (running to get Patrick and praying I never forget that moment)

Weekend to Remember

This was such a fantastic weekend. Friday was a blast times 500. The gals and I went to Sarah's vineyard to taste a little of the "grape". Yeah, a little turned into way more than I had anticipated. But regardless of the end result, fun was had by all. I almost missed the day at the beach that we planned, but I recovered nicely. We arrived a few hours after everyone else, but it was so worth going. We went to Headlands Beach in Mentor Ohio, and it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited in Ohio. You would never know you weren't at the ocean. It was so beautiful and the kids had such a blast. We plan on doing this a lot more now that we know of this place. We were all like little kids at the end of the day, none of us wanted to leave, we just wanted to sit there listening to the waves, playing with our feet in the sand with the sun still beautiful in the sky. It was a day that memories are made of, and we made a ton. Thanks everyone for sharing this memory with us. We love you!

Looks can be deceiving at times

Don't they look so sweet.  They don't look at all like two little kids who won't stop fighting or crying or whining do they?  No, they don't look at all like loud, back talking babies who think the only volume their bodies can be turned to is SCREAM do they?  Nope, no they don't.  I'm so glad they don't look like that.

Vintage Ohio

We had the time of our lives last night at Vintage Ohio. We were up there with our friends the Paratore's, and couldn't have asked for better weather, or a better time. There were so many wineries and soooooooo many different wines to try. I do hope that we can make this a tradition every year to go up to this event. The music was great, and the food was pretty good too. Maybe next time I'll participate in a cooking class with wine. I actually had a lot more pictures to show, but Someone (Julie) erased all but one of the pictures of her in them while Patrick and I were doing the Samba under the stars!!

Happy Birthday Willy

ONLY because I love you I will not post the awful picture that I have of you.  You know the one of us in High School?  The one in my old back yard.  The one where your mouth is shaped so awkwardly?  Or the ones of you and Chris Pruitt?  Was that his name?? In my living room.  That was you wasn't it?  No, I will not post those, because you are a person who believes in pay backs and I'm not willing to subject myself to your torture.  I'm already tortured enough by the fact that I will always be older than you.  Happy Birthday!  I love you. I hope your day is wonderful.
